Torque Calculation

The torque (τ) on a current-carrying coil in a magnetic field is given by:

τ = n × I × A × B × sinθ

τ = 30 × 6.0 × 0.0201 × 1.0 × sin(60°) = 3.133 Nm

Where:
n = number of turns (30)
I = current (6.0 A)
A = coil area (0.0201 m²)
B = magnetic field strength (1.0 T)
θ = angle between field and normal (60°)

The torque depends only on the enclosed area of the coil, not its shape.
