Using Einstein's photoelectric equation:
E = hν = φ + Kmax
hν = φ + eV0
Where:
- E = Energy of incident photon = 2.54 eV
- φ = Work function = 2.28 eV
- Kmax = Maximum kinetic energy of photoelectrons = 0.26 eV
- V0 = Stopping potential = 0.26 V
When the work function equals the photon energy (threshold frequency), no photoelectrons are emitted.
