Charge Quantization: Electric charge only exists as integer multiples of the elementary charge (e = 1.6×10⁻¹⁹ C). At microscopic scales, we observe discrete charge transfers.

Macroscopic Scale: With ~10²³ electrons in macroscopic objects, the discrete nature becomes negligible and charge appears continuous.
