This simulation demonstrates Newton's Third Law of Motion. When a horse pulls a cart, it exerts a backward force on the ground. According to Newton's Third Law, the ground exerts an equal and opposite reaction force on the horse's feet, enabling forward motion. In empty space, there's no medium to provide this reaction force, making it impossible for the horse to pull the cart.
